How would you deal with the following situation?
Couple A has a group of mutual friends, which include Couple B. One member from Couple B is throwing a party and sends out invites via facebook events.
The problem? The guestlist is large, but oddly, only half of Couple A has been invited.
The reason? Unclear, there does not appear to be any tension among members of Couple B and the uninvited member of Couple A. It seems the host genuinely missed the other member of Couple A by accident.
What would you and your SO do if you were Couple A?

I would just say “hey you forgot my spouse!” then we’d both show up. I’m sure it’s an oversight…It’s easy to miss somebody on those FB invites.

Cool, that’s pretty much what we did… “Just checking, (my SO) is invited too, right? :)” …and the inevitable answer was an immediate “of course!!” and apologies for the mistake, but I was just wondering if that was too forward. Glad to hear it wasn’t too pushy!

This happens often in my group of friends and my DH’s. People just invite the person in the couple who is their friend and it’s of course implied/assumed that their SO is also invited. Saves time when putting together a huge FB invite.

Pushy… NO! I am always blunt and upfront with my friends. Unless it was a specific girls night out or something we always go together 🙂
