Okay, so some may not share my excitement over being 168 pounds, but I have been trying to get back here for 2 years!!!! The last like week or two I have been stuck in the low 170s, so I decided to really kick up my diet and apparently its working!!! I was worried that hubby wouldn’t like the healthier version of things (he didn’t even notice a difference). But I think cooking for him was part of my problem, I started eatting things that I had cut out of my diet, and even in small portions I know they were keeping me where I was. I’m only 3 pounds from my first goal!!! Oh my gosh! Maybe getting to the 150s won’t be such an impossible goal after all!!! 😁 I hope that by sharing my excitement and progress I can help someone else! There’s no secrets here, I didn’t buy into any program. Just taking classes at the gym, drinking my water, and cutting out soda and fast food and junk. I’m honestly amazed at how fast the weight has come off, and now that I have seen what happens when,i fuel my body properly I will not be going back!!!

Hooray! Congratulations to you– losing weight isn’t easy, but it sounds like you’re making great progress! It’s truly incredible how eating well and drinking lots of water can completely jumpstart weight loss.

freebird: I’m genuinely amazed. I struggled for so long and kept killing myself in the gym and would see a 3 or so pound fluctuation, but it never stayed gone. I would get frustrated and give up, but I was still eatting crap and drinking more soda than I ever should have. I started trying this time at the beginning of February, but the beginning of March is really when I buckled down and gave up all of my bad habits and started eatting well to go along with my work outs. I’m now down 21 pounds since the beginning of February. Like I’m still shocked, and when I look at the before pictures I took it makes me really sad that I’d let myself get to that point, and I’d kind of given up. I was in a size 12, probably bordering on a size 14 pant, and yesterday I wore a size 8 that I haven’t worn in years, and it was actually a little roomy around my waist. My husband even commented on my new pants being too big! Lol. And I have been checking in with my doctor because I was concerned about losing too quickly, but she said that its totally normal with a huge change like that, and everything is good! I’m on cloud 9 right now, and may reward myself with some new workout tights! Haha!

SandyBee23: I remember gaining quite a bit of weight in college, but it all came off (and then some!) as soon as I started cooking for myself instead of eating cafeteria junk every day and getting some actual exercise. Treat yourself to those tights!!

Congratulations! Best of luck getting into the 150’s. I think the hardest part is getting started and sticking with it. You’ve already done that, so here’s to being awesome

freebird: Thank you! I think I will. Lol. I try not to reward myself but after getting a little, bummed about being stuff I definitely think I deserve them! Lol
katbee1980: Thanks! It was definitely hard! I quit cold turkey with all the junk and soda while my husband was away for a few weeks so that he didn’t have to deal with my crazy while going through withdrawals from caffeine and sugar, and oh man were they awful! I was exhausted and cranky! Lol. Thank God I made it through that or I probably would have given up! Lol
selinameh: It does! I always heard “abs are made in the kitchen” but I didn’t realize how true that actually was! I don’t,know if I’ll ever have abs, but its be nice! Lol I know they are in there somewhere under the pudge!
CinqueTerre: Thank you!! It’s definitely been a learning process, figuring out exactly what my body needs!

Yayyy congrats!! I actually know that feeling because I was always in the 170s or 180s. Breaking into the 160s was a huge accomplishment for me and I know it is for you too! Hard work pays off! Since I reached my goal March 2011, I’ve been comfortably between 145-150 at 5’8″. It’s all about replacing bad habits with good ones but still having a donut or cheeseburger every now and then because…we’re human and sometimes we just need that stuff to keep going. 🙂

Alpine1994: That awesome! I’ve tried to not deny myself anything when I really wanted it, but was very careful! Lol Aunt Flos recent visit may have played a part in being stuck, but I’m thrilled to be moving forward again! I’m only 5’2″, so that was definitely too much weight for me to be carrying, although I am deceivingly heavy for my size. Lol. At 140 lbs (years and years ago) I wore a size 0. Now that my goal of 165 is so close, I am really looking forward to trying for 155 though. I would love to look more lean and toned and less soft and squishy! Haha

SandyBee23: Yeah, girl! That’s awesome. I just started out on my journey, after gaining quite a bit of weight since being with my husband (him taking me out a lot and me eating what he eats). I just finished one round of Whole30 and lost 12 lbs so far. I’m keeping on trucking, it certainly helps to see success stories like yours!
And By The Way, I totally get being deceivingly heavy for your size. People are really surprised when they find out how much I weigh. I’m 5’3″ and was wearing XS and S clothes and size 4s at 150 (which is still technically overweight).
