My fiance’ and I are having an interfaith ceremony. What would be an appropriate sign for the box with yarmulka’s (for those that are unfamiliar and to inform guests that wearing a yarmulka is optional)?
Thanks for your help!

From a previous discussion:
1. “The Kippah (yarmulke) is the traditional Jewish head covering. Regardless of whether you are Jewish, you may wear one if you are comfortable doing so.”
2. “In the Jewish faith it is a sign of respect to cover your head while in the presence of God. If you are so inclined, please feel free to wear one.”

julies1949 – That pic is hilarious!
I think it would be a good idea to post something describing it and letting the non-Jews know that they are welcome to participate in the custom as well.
