I just wanted to express my joy at being able to see clearly with my own eyes– something I was unable to do yesterday and since I was probably 8 years old.
It feels SOOO amazing, and I am so happy! I hope I never take it for granted! And I’m really glad I went ahead and took the plunge to get LASIK!
Now I won’t have to worry about makeup getting into my contacts or my eyes getting tired because of my contacts on my wedding day.. yay!

@hollyberry4: congrats on being able too see :). I had my eyes done about 5 years ago and its honestly the best thing i have ever done. Its the little things like been able to see when swimming and to see the alarm clock when you wake up ect, maybe extreme but it feels priceless. Welcome to a new world of sight 🙂 xx

@hollyberry4: OMG I can’t imagine how great that would feel! If you don’t mind me asking, how bad were your eyes before? Mine are pretty terrible and I’m not sure if Lasik would even work for me.

Yay, congratulations!!! I got my eyes done about 9 months ago, and every once in a while I still just say to myself “I am SO glad I got Lasik”!
@emelee: Both of my eyes were -7.5 … I forget the range of how bad is too bad for Lasik to work on, but there is lots of information online if you google!

@M1cha3la: thank you!!!
@emelee: To be honest I’m not even sure how bad my eyes were before! They were pretty bad though— could not really even seen the big “E” on the chart without my glasses/contacts. I got my eyes done at a Lasik Plus center, and they do a free eye exam to see if you even qualify. They have to do multiple tests to test your tear production, the thickness of your cornea, your current prescription, and ifyou have any underlying eye problems. So it doesn’t hurt to go check it out!
My dad is going to get an assessment next week, and he’s 58 y/o with way worse eyesight than I had. I’m now seeing 20/20 1 day post 😀
I didn’t even really consider LASIK until a month and a half ago when I literally woke up and was so sick of not being able to see that I started researching it online. So happy so far!

Got mine done about 5 years ago and still love it! I was nervous to do it, but it was totally worth it in the end. Enjoy it!

@hollyberry4: OMG Congratulations! I want to do this, but haven’t yet! Husband and I are thinking about it for me. Glad to see another success story!

@hollyberry4: congrats! I used to have really good eyesight, but have really noticed it declining the past few years. Im reallybsad about the idea of not being able to see these things naturally anymore, but glad to hear that there is hope!

I wish I would have done this a while ago. I doubt I ever will. My eye doctor said that I’m too old to get it because in a few years, I’ll just need glasses anyway to read close. That’s another reason I was hesitant to get it done.
