I put yay because you can add some bling that was your grandmothers and keep it. That is really special.

I made my bouquets fresh but it did take several hours. I put a post about it on the DIY board. I don’t regret it but I do think overall we had a bit too much work to do leading up to the wedding.

The flowers and the decorations were the fun bit however with everything else on top of that it was all a bit much and I would have liked to have time to enjoy the lead up rather than being so stressed.

If you have absolutely nothing else to work on the day before and your wedding is not too early in the day I think you could make your own. Especially if you are just making one bouquet and you have someone else crafty who would enjoy doing it with you – as sort of a fun activity. Then you could still put in your grandmother’s jewels.

Another idea is that you could have a hybrid bouquet with some fake and some real flowers – less preparation time and it would require a double take on the day to see there are any fake ones in there.

If you do make a fresh bouquet don’t do it on the day of the wedding. They will keep very well in the fridge overnight and probably not look very different for several days. Do it the morning before and refridgerate it.

I love it! But is there one flower that is bigger than all the rest or is that just the picture?

They’re gorgeous! And if you want to jazz it up a bit, go for it! Real flowers are soooo expensive and I can’t even count how many threads I’ve read over the years where the bride is dissapointed in the quality of the real flowers, or how it wasn’t exactly what she wanted. At least this way, you know exactly what you’re getting!

@Soon2BeMrs7913:  Are those the Real Touch from Hobby Lobby?

I don’t have a Hobby Lobby near me, so my mom has been going every other week to buy them for me when they’re on sale.

I hope they are, because I think they look great!
