I wouldn’t put this anywhere at a wedding, and I’m confused as to what an open bar has to do anything. I think this would be cute for your apartment for you and your FI to save some extra cash, but that’s it.

I thought it was super cute too, but soon decided it was tacky.  I get weird when ppl give me gifts, much less money.

As a guest that pretty much always gifts cash, the amount that I intend to give is long decided on and stashed in the card by the time I arrive at a wedding.

I wouldn’t be inclined to put additional money in a jar.

I wouldn’t do it, it comes off as cash grabby.  Also, that jar is really cute, but how would you get the cash out without breaking open the bottle?

Definitely not! For all the reasons PPs have mentioned so far.

Why not do the dollar dance instead you could use that money for your honeymoon. That’s what I did. We got like 300 bucks!

I don’t like this. I’d also worry about some worker or wedding crasher stealing it.
