Today we have been given our Officiant’s blessing to marry. Granted, it is my G’Mom marrying us but we still had to take some tests and answer her set of questions to make sure we are right for each other and have the same goals for our lives together.
Although, my Fiance didn’t really want to participate in these activites since it was my G’mom marrying us I am thankful that we did. We were able to discuss many things in coming up with our answers that it confirmed how much we think alike and feel the same way about the important issues with life. I think we owe this to the many challenges we had faced in life especially my Fiance.
Her final words of advice for the Fiance (jokingly of course): "<font face=”Arial”>No matter what, there is only one correct answer, "Yes Dear". Now go ahead and grow old"</font>
If you had to take classes and such before getting married, did they confirm anything or bring up some interesting thoughts about yourselves and your relationship?
Also, have any funny stories to share?
When my co-worker was taking his pre-Cana classes before getting married, he said that his priest told his wife that she should NOT marry him, lol… They are married 20 years or so!
