I didn’t have any help to lace it up so the fit isn’t ideal but do you guys think I should wear this dress?
I bought it as a second dress to wear at the reception because my other dress is heavy satin but is it good enough to wear the actual day?
(please also forgive the unfinished basement wall hah)

I love the dress, its beautiful, I’m sure it will be gorgeous on you. I say go for it.

I think that the extremely full skirt is making you look larger than you are. Also, the skirt begins in a weird spot…sort of making your torso look short. Too much dress, in my opinion.

@rufflequeen: I think with it laced, you will look great!

Goodness I don’t like your poll options – why on earth would you trash that beautiful dress? Is this a thing I’ve never heard about?
I think when you’ve got it laced up nice and snug it will be gorgeous on you! I love the ruffles and the waist. Very pretty!

It’s hard to tell when it’s not laced up, but it’s a gorgeous dress!!!

I agree without it being laced up it is hard to see how it fits. I think the concept of the dress is great. I have seen it look good on many people, but without seeing the fit it is hard to say exactly. It would be a definate fun reception second dress.

Agree with minniemluv. I’m not so sure I like this dress for you, but really in the end what matters is what you like. But I say nay.

That is a huge, heavy gown for a reception dress, but it is a fine dress and what you do on your day is up to you.
I guess I think of a “reception dress” as a very light, easy dress. That one is one some people would change OUT of, rather than into, after a long day. Plus the lacing and getting it on is going to take a considerable amount of time.
But you will look good in it, so you should do what makes you happy.
