Happy New Year!
In honor of the new year, I would like to become motivated to do something… except I have no idea what!
I want to choose some sort of project that I can take on for the year and I want it to be something more than just working out or giving up caffeine.
I have a cookbook that I might start following but I’m wondering if anyone has any other ideas? Is anyone else doing something this year?

I think I’m going to do Project 366 – which is where you take a photo each day for 366 days. I think it will be a lot of fun!

@PitBulLover: A friend of mine did this the year he both proposed and was married. It was an awesome way to document his year.

I’ve started keeping a journal. I don’t write in it everyday, but I write pretty frequently. That’s one thing that I’ve been good about doing. I also decided a month or so ago that I want to run a marathon eventually and read the whole Bible, but I have made no progress whatsoever on either of those (I’m not a runner and I’m not very religious haha).

I’m doing the Project 366 as well! I’m getting married this year, so that should be pretty awesome :-). I also found this cute journal idea on Pinterest. There is one 3×5 index card per day. Each day, you write down the year and a short sentence about something that happens. You keep the journal for a few years, so you have a record of something that happened each day. It gets to be more meaningful as the years progress.
My final one isn’t a daily project, but I’m going to try to blog once a week on a Pinterest project that I try.

@Pupperoni: What about doing your own version of “Julie & Julia” but not necessarily just Julia Child’s recipe book. Making one new dish a day? You could take a pic and write a short one or two sentence caption about each one, whether it was a hit or a flop, etc, and count it as the 365 challenge (well 366 this year!)
@PitBulLover: I just heard about this earlier tonight, from WB of course hehe. Thankfully I’ve got a few photos from yesterday and today, so no cheating required to start now 😉
@keepsmiling19: I like the idea of the index card journal! And if you do the weekly pinterest project, you SO have to PM me a link to your blog! I <3 pinterest 😀
I think I’m going to do the 366 challenge. It sounds easy enough, and it’ll be really fun to look back on after the year is over!

This may sound elderly, but why not start up a hobby like cross-stitching or knitting? I’m only 22, but I love to cross-stitch. I started up an intricate pattern last January and I just work on it while I watch TV or similar things, but I’m not quite done yet and I think it looks pretty good!

@adnama: I taught myself to crochet when I was like 12, I was thinking about picking that up again this year! What are you cross-stitching?

Bumping for any day bees! I’d like some more ideas of year-long projects I can do 😀
