I’m using canary yellow, pale gray and white as our wedding colors, but I’m having a hard time deciding how to dress the bridal party! The tables will have white tablecloths with gray and yellow damask runners and pale yellow napkins, yellow flower centerpieces, and white garden chairs. The dessert and accent tables will have light gray tablecloths.
I was leaning towards yellow for the bridesmaids dresses, but when I hold a yellow dress beside my ivory gown, it just doesn’t seem to look right. The gray looks much nicer once beside my dress. And a couple of my bridesmaids don’t think they look good in yellow. So now I’m thinking of doing a light gray dress with yellow bouquets and yellow jewelry. But I was going to put the guys in gray suits with yellow vests. Do you think it would be too dull to have the suits and dresses both be gray?? I don’t know what else I could do for the groomsmen though? It is a June wedding, so I want to keep it light and summery. The style of bridesmaid dress is very light and airy at least: http://watters.com/Product/WtooDresses/919/#Colors:falcon
Anyone else doing gray and yellow? How did you dress your bridal party?? Please help!

I always thought this was a cool yellow and grey wedding. I stole a few of their other ideas haha. http://www.marryyoume.com/2009/06/real-wedding-kelly-and-chris.html

I think gray dresses with gray suits will look really classy, and your BMs will be so much happier that they don’t have to wear yellow as it’s not flattering on a lot of people. I think yellow bouquets and yellow shoes would add visual interest and bring the yellow into the look.

we are doing light grey dresses and dark grey suits, so they dont all look the exact same color. the yellow bouqets will definitely “pop” against their dresses!

I’m doing grey and yellow, with just a touch of orange. I’m going to have my BMs pick their own above-the-knee grey dresses, and the groomsmen will be in grey suits of some kind. Fiance is dead set on wearing a black tuxedo (dont get me started).
I’m going to have the girls get yellow shoes of their choice, I’m going to make them jewelry, and getting them all different silver clutches. They’ll carry yellow flowers.
If all goes as planned. :/

I am doing gray bridesmaids dresses (of their own choosing after trouble getting them to all agree), yellow earrings and sash. The groomsmen will be in black suits with grey ties and yellow boutinnieres. While grey suits do go with grey dresses — you don’t have to coordinate them exactly to get the same overall look of crips whites, yellows and greys.

I did yellow and gray for my wedding, we tried to stick with a darker gray called charcoal gray. The bridesmaids dresses were pewter from Davids Bridal with yellow and white flowers. The girls wore light silver shoes which looked great but I’m sure light nude would look good too. Tuxedos were medium gray from Mens Wearhouse. You could do black ties but we got complementary yellow striped ties from Express for groomsmen and did yellow boutonnieres. Make sure to keep accenting with white (napkins, pocket squares etc), keeps it modern and classy. http://pin.it/pwJ5htA
