I don’t know if it suits you, but yellow and gray are a hot trend right now.  Maybe a light dove color?  And I think it’s definitely ok to add in some dark furniture so long as it’s not too overwhelming.  I like the way they can act as accent pieces when everything else is light.

Although I maybe wouldn’t do the dark blue bedding:

i agree with light grey. You could also do a light blue…. I think robin’s egg and yellow are pretty together.

I like a dove gray. We did chilled lemonade+dove gray in our bedroom. I just thought it looked great! Sure it’s trendy, but it’s just paint =]

I really like the crip and fresh combo of the yellow, white, and light blue in this picture.

Oh, I’m sorry.. totally missed that.

If they are paler, and you go with a pale wall color, definately bring in bright pillows, decoration, bedding, etc.  And the dark furniture.

If you go with a darker wall color, might want to keep the accessories light.

I like the grey and the slate blue colors.  I also like think that a bold teal could be great, or a lemongrass green could be soothing but bring in the color that you like.

You could also do a bold color on the wall opposite the windows & something lighter on the walls with the curtains.

I should try to find some pics.. I’m such a visual person.. this is hard 🙂

I think you can do either with the furniture.  All white or a mix of white and dark would look great.

Here are some wall ideas.  Are you going to get new bedding too?

Maybe all yellow?

Greyish walls:

Okay, These are a few I found with neutral wall colors:  Grey, Grey/green, Warm Grey

I think that the one with the creamy beige walls and the bold yellow curtains is very modern and sleek.  But these are very bold yellow curtains.  I’m still searching for pale yellow ones.

I always thought blue and yellow look so pretty and happy together:)  What if you painted the walls a pretty light shade of blue:

Maybe like a really pretty shade of china blue or a little bit deeper.  The blue would help make your white accents pop out a little more too.
