Mine is a little off from your request, in that it is not a yellow, but rather, a white diamond that’s way down towards yellow on the color scale.  .75 ct in yellow gold pear:

My halo has canary diamonds on it. It’s my favorite feature of the ring! Now I am dying for some canary stud earrings to match. 🙂

amanda918 :  Thank you. I always wanted a yellow diamond, but it had to be the right shade. The setting is by Leon Mege and he actually sourced the stone for me. If you’re looking for a yellow diamond, you really have to compare the diamonds side by side. Even among the same color grade there will be shade variations, cut variations, and of course big price variations.

This is a Fancy Yellow VVS1 3.2  carats. Among the fancy yellows it stood out for having more color, and looked much more like a Fancy Intense Yellow which would have been more than I wanted to spend lol. Like any colored stone it looks different in different lighting, but overall it’s a pleasing lemon yellow. Sorry for the photo overload, I just really love this ring.

amanda918 :  Thanks!  I also like the fact that the white but at the yellow end diamonds aren’t color enhanced.  It’s the natural color!

Have you looked at Diamonds by Lauren? He has some beautiful rings and stones. He does a lot with the WXY color stones, which are less expensive by far than the fancy yellows.

You really have to be careful where you buy. Leon Mege made my ring. He does beautiful pave. But there are so many jewelry stores where the markup is crazy. I was in a jewelry store in Park City Utah last winter. They had a ring just like mine, same size stone, same color grade, but the pave was not as well done.

They wanted $100k for the ring, which was insane. I feel sorry for the poor sod who paid that. Actually I don’t. If they can afford a $100k ring, I’m not going to feel sorry for them lol.

Fancy yellow here. Favourite part of yellow diamonds is that they glow when the light hits them just right 😊

I have a fancy yellow solitaire! This isn’t a great picture and doesn’t really capture how yellow it is, sorry!! But I love it! Like you, I had never seen a yellow solitaire so I was a little nervous when I realized that’s what my fiancé was picking. But tbh I’m sooo happy with it now. I feel like yellow diamonds are little flashy anyway, so the solitaire setting makes it slightly less over the top and little more classic.

KKJohnson :  Beautiful! That’s an O/P? I have an N color old mine cut diamond and it’s not nearly as yellow, even in photos.

I have an S colored diamond.. May be a bit tough to see how yellow it is in the pic, but I love the way it looks. It’s a very light, buttery yellow and I adore it!
