SocialMediaDiva:  I don’t usually wear this set, but I recently got my rose band cast in yellow gold (have it in white and rose too), and I am really liking the contrast.

I love (and prefer) yellow gold and white metals mixed together. It is very vintage!

Yellow gold also looks better on me and warms up cooler white metals so I like wearing them together.

Here is one way I mix, this one is platinum but same idea!:

SocialMediaDiva:  Your set is beautiful. Your rings are lovely together. I feel like I see more sets that mix rose gold and white metals, but I love the look of yellow gold and white together.

I have several different bands that I wear. My original band was a stand-alone, and it doesn’t fit me any longer. So I sometimes mix metals and sometimes go with all the same metals. Here are a couple of my favorite yellow and white combinations.

I recently got a yellow gold band to wear around the house (and it matches DH’s so there’s that). I’ve been loving the look of mixed metals lately.

Following because I recently switched from wanting a yellow gold engagement ring to a white metal engagement ring. I know I definitely want a yellow gold wedding band! Keep them coming! 🙂

I thought I was completely against mixing metals. However, when I was picking out my wedding band, I didn’t like the way that the rose gold bands changed the look of my rose gold e-ring.  They kind of visually merged into one big ring.  I realized that with white gold, the e-ring kind of stood on it’s own.  I bought a contour white gold band, at first.  I liked it, but it just felt too heavy.  I ended up exchanging it for a white/rose two-toned band.  Now I feel like I have two separate rings that I love.

Here is the original white gold contour band.  I think it could have worked if it was thinner.

I have an engagement ring set that I wear. The rose gold is the ring that I was actually proposed to with and the tungsten ring is one I added later to match my fiance’s engagement ring. I think the silver tone of the tungsten makes my diamonds pop out a bit more and the blue specks are just pretty (my fiance’s ring has red specks).

I mix within my stack. White and yellow gold. I love it!
