Heres mine… e ring is 14k and wedding band is 9k (I’m from uk, so we don’t have 10k here). I had them soldered to avoid spinning/damage. The colours of gold match perfectly. After 6 months there’s a few tiny scratches on the back, which polish out, but other than that they’ve held up really well and I LOOOOVE them!

minagirl1208 :  from the back it still looks like two rings… my wedding band is shaped to fit round my e ring, and they kept spinning apart and driving me crazy!! Soldering isn’t a big ‘thing’ in the uk, but I don’t regret it! It’s reversible too, so I can have them taken apart again if I ever wanted to. My thoughts were that as both of my rings are 1.8mm shank width, they’re thin and vulnerable to being bent, so soldering them makes them stronger together. (Kinda like 2 people in a marriage, if you want a romantic twist to a practical idea!!)

I love my YG ring set and love all the sets I’ve seen here. This is my 1.2 carat princess.

My e-ring is 18k! I’ve had it for a couple months now and it has scratches, but I also do a lot of physical activity with mine on.

I also have a wider gold band that is 18k and 148 years old and it looks great (in my opinion)! It’s not thin at all and super heavy. Of course the thinner the ring, the more likely it is to warp or thin out.

minagirl1208 :  here are mine! 🙂 My wedding set is 18k red gold (swedish) and the etoile style band is 14k from an antique store in the US.

Oooooohhhhhhh I cannot wait to add mine to this thread!!! They’re all so beautiful and totally solidifies my decision to go with 14k YG!

Mine is 18K yellow gold with a white gold head. I think yellow gold has that old world charm and is so timeless!

I have only had it two days so I can’t comment on scratches; however I have other yellow gold rings that have some minor scratches.

minagirl1208 :  my e-ring next to my wedding ring (custom made to fit the shape) and his. Both 9ct, not married yet so only e ring being used. Holding up well. Didn’t choose 9ct specifically that’s just what they were but my understanding is the lower the carat the more durable as there is less pure gold in it making it harder.

Mine is 14k yellow gold. I just got it this weekend so I can’t tell you how it’s holding up yet, but I absolutely love it! I also only wear yellow gold and find that it complements my skin so much better than silver/gray colored metal. Yellow gold is luxurious, ancient, and classic. I couldn’t imagine anything better for an engagement/wedding ring!
