Here’s my set. Both are 14k. My ering is fairly new, got it last month while my wedding band is 4yo. There are minor scratches on the wedding band but not noticeable at all. I still have my original ering which is yw as well and 5yo, no major scratches. Love yellow gold so much! I prefer 14k as it’s not too yellow.

Here’s mine. My e-ring is 14k and it’s new, I just got it this month (I was married without one). Wedding band is 2yrs older and there are tiny scratches here and there but that’s probably because it’s 18k so it’s on the softer side.

Seeing these yellow prongs is helping me a ton! I’m custom designing my yellow gold ring and keep flip flopping whether to do yellow gold or platinum prongs.

@carmelovesyou

I feel like you ladies might have some good opinions, two tone platinum/white gold and yellow gold or full yellow gold?

lynnnie :  thank you! I adore it a little bit too much lol

My ring is full yellow gold. I just like the one metal color appearance. I’d go full yellow for that ring. But that’s just my opinion. From what I heard ladies opt for white gold/platinum for the prongs because it is more sturdy.

Here’s a better view of my prongs. I love yellow gold!

lynnnie :  Beautiful setting either way!  Go with whichever version puts a bigger smile on your face when you look at the pictures. I think your eye will be more drawn to the one that is right for you.

missdior021 :  hi bee! Do you mind sharing the width of your wedding band? And if you know it, also how many stones are they? How many pointers each? And lastly your finger size. I’m hoping to get a similar wedding band made for our renewal of vows in a few years and your ring looks exactly the perfect size I would love! Thank you!

carmelovesyou :  I’m positive my wedding band is 2mm, there are 9 x .03 stones. It’s just 1/3 of the band, just enough to cover the top of my 4.75 size finger. Got this from a jeweler in Manila 😊

missdior021 :  that sounds perfect. I was considering seven .08 ct stones but now that seems too big. I might go with .05 or .06 in that case. My finger is size 5 so I think just like yours it might be best to keep in on the dainty side.

Oooh! That’s nice. Do you come back here often?

carmelovesyou :  i agree, 5-6 pointers will still look dainty and you’ll be able to add more bands if you plan to stack.

We just moved here in the US 4 yrs ago and try to visit home every 1-2 years.
