So pretty! I wanted a blue sapphire and all the ones I’d ever seen set in yellow gold didn’t look good to me, but ColorCoated, I like yours!
I think, though, that I might want to go for a diamond if I get a yellow gold ring in a few years after I’ve saved up. I like intricate antique settings and sometimes I feel like it’s hard to distinguish what’s a diamond and what’s just the gold setting if you’re looking at a white gold intricate setting, which I don’t like. There’s no mistaking where the diamonds end and the setting begins in yellow gold, though…
I’ve always been a yellow gold person and my parents both have yellow gold rings. It just seems more me. Ugh. I hate ring envy/regret…

My ring is pretty different – a raw diamond instead of cut (i’m a bit artsy 🙂 ). Love my yellow gold!

The funny thing about yellow gold is that I don’t think they look as nice in adverts compared to white metals, but when I see a yellow gold ring in person they’re so warm, classic, and beautiful! I’m starting to think I’d like a yellow gold wedding band, even if it doesn’t match my e-ring. I’d love to see more pics of yellow gold rings. 🙂

Mine is yellow gold! I absolutely love it! I never wear silver or white gold.
It’s a blue sapphire in the center with a diamond on each side. 🙂

@Minutiae: I agree! I never liked the way they looked in photos or online, but when I see them in person, they’re always so beautiful.
I have a yellow gold engagement ring with roses in rose gold. I absolutely love it. I fell in love with it an estate jewlery store and was pleasantly surprised when my Fiance pulled it out during the proposal. I think it’s from the 1950s. It came with a matching wedding band that has the roses all around it as well.

@BrooklynBride – Cheers to blue sapphires! Aren’t they just they best! Your ring is lovely btw.

@ Christina.elyse Your ring is SO pretty! Yellow gold isn’t usually my thing, but I like your intricate band, and the warmth of the rose gold with the yellow gold.

OMG. That is this prettiest thing I have ever seen. :O

I’m reviving this thread to show off my yellow gold e-ring. I did not want yellow gold, but I forgot to mention that to Fiance and he ended up picking yellow gold. But I love it! I think it’s neat looking and i like that it’s not the same e-ring that every other woman I know is wearing.

The one thing I really wanted from my engagement ring was that it was yellow gold, I only ever wear yellow gold and platinum or white gold would just not have been me.
H2B went off on the hunt knowing this, but then spent a month looking as he couldn’t find one with yellow gold that he liked as he wanted a classic soltaire shape 1/2 carat diamond.
He eventually landed in Tiffanys in London (we live in the UK) and came home with my beautiful, lovely ring 🙂 I would never have dreamt of going to Tiffanys and don’t think he was even aware of what Tiffanys rings are.
It is a yellow gold ring with the diamond in a platinum setting. You can’t really see the platinum but it shows the diamond nicely as the clasps aren’t yellow against the stone. My wedding band is the matching yellow gold ring.
