I’m currently looking at engagement rings and have been going back and forth between yellow and white gold. The attached pictures show which ones I’ve been considering. The second one would have a different, thinner band.
I would love some opinions and photos!

MrsAB: I’m in love with the yellow gold one – that’s stunning!! What a classic, timeless ring!

I like the first ring but in white gold. I prefer yellow gold without diamonds in the band but that is just me

I prefer the white gold. I like yellow gold rings that have prongs that are either platinum/white gold. I think the look of all the yellow gold prongs tends to make it look less streamlined.

I have been loving yellow gold lately. Someone here posted their YG ring and band. It was gorgeous, very similar to the one you linked.

I’m a much bigger fan of yellow gold, especially in a style like these, since a person doesn’t see those everyday. Additionally, a yellow gold ring will never need to be replated, which is a nice thing over the long term.

MrsAB: That first pic of the yellow gold ring is so beautiful. I think it’s so classic looking, but also unique.

I’m a yellow gold girl!! Everyone seems to have white gold these days, be different!! 😉

I always wear yellow, but for some reason I’m not a fan of it in pave. I prefer white in this style. Beautiful though!

I’m a huge fan of yellow gold and I specifically wanted my engagement ring to be yellow gold so I’m a bit biased towards your first pic – plus the shape is gorgeous 🙂

I love yg. All my fine Jewelery is yg. I grew up on yg. It’s timeless and classic. I much prefer the warm glow to the cold wg and platinum. White stones just blend in with white metals. With yg…the white stone pops.

ALL of my jewelry is yellow gold.
…..However, my boyfriend (with my input) just bought a white gold engagement ring. Why? Honestly, I like the look of pave/micropave better with white gold. The whole thing just looks like shimmery diamonds that way. Honestly, though, my ring has so little metal that you wouldn’t really be able to tell either way, I don’t think.
I will happily wear my white gold engagement ring on my left hand, and yellow gold rings on my right hand. I may even get a yellow gold wedding band to go with my engagement ring. 🙂

Usually I would say white gold but in this case I actually like the yellow gold one a bit better. The corners on the YG ring aren’t as harsh as the ones on the WG ring. Like others have said though, with the pave, I think WG would make the whole look flow a bit better instead of the “choppy” look of the YG. They’re both gorgeous though and I don’t think you could go wrong with either one.
