@Kg689:  by eternity band shank, do you mean a pave band?

i was torn between white and yellow gold, but ultimately the professionals who worked with my fiance on the ring (custom) said that since we had such a lovely, colourless stone, setting it in yellow could discolour it in some lights. so i went with white gold and am more than happy!

@Kg689:  I think it comes down to what looks best on you. I have a cool skin tone (I’m really pale) so I own hardly any yellow gold jewelry and it looks a bit odd on me (silver looks best). If you own lots of yellow gold and it looks good on you, then I’d go with that.

The only bad thing about white gold is you need to get it re-plated every so often. I have a white gold ring that is starting to show the yellow. For my engagement ring I’m going w. platinum.

I picked white gold for mine, I’m not a yellow gold fan. I’m not sure of all of the specs on my ring, but I do have three stones! Here it is:

I think diamonds are more prominent when set in yellow gold.

@MASPA:  +1

I have yellow gold, but neither pave shank nor 3 stone, so I won’t post mine. I always liked the contrast of white stones and warm metal. Plus, you have to redip white gold to hide it’s “gold-ness”.

My band on my e-ring is called “common prong”. The diamonds only go half way around though, but I’ll post anyway. 18k yellow
