Mrs. Trailmix has a whole mix of metals for her rings and I think it looks amazing (pic below).  Some people will tell you not to mix metals (gold and platinum) but I have a platinum engagement ring and a white gold wedding band and I haven’t had any problems with them.  Just pick out something you like and that you feel comfortable wearing.

You can always wear them on seperate hands.  One of my rings is titanium and wood to match Mr. DG and I wear it on my right hand.

I have a yellow gold ering and a mostly white gold band. It’s not quite the same thing that you’re looking for but it might give you a better idea.

Ultimately I think you need to go with whatever you want though. Have you tried on some platinum and yellow gold bands to see what you like best?

Gaah. I’m sorry. I can’t resize to save my life.

I would advise against getting different metals to wear on the same hand. The different hardness of the metals means that one will scratch the other, and possibly warp it. They will certainly wear differently. Have you tried looking for wedding bands that incorporate both platinum and yellow gold? If it had platinum along the sides, but yellow gold in the middle, it wouldn’t have the hardness issues butting up against your e-ring. Otherwise, i’d just wear them on separate hands (that’s what i’m doing!)
