- Wedding: November 2011
you might have seen pictures in the gallery part of the web site. Well, indeed I am wearing CROCS for my wedding (my fiance will be wearing his Crocs running shoes for the ceremony) I am the first to admit that what most people know as a croc is completely ridiculously grosse looking. I mean it looks like we are wearing big play-dough contraptions on our feet. but for people who have given them a try, we all fall in love with the comfort of a good old CROC.
The whole idea started when I went wedding shoe shopping with my Mom, Sister (maid of honor) and both my nieces (4-6 years old, my flower girls) I must have tried on close to 100 pairs of shoes. I didn’t have many “must haves” for my shoes: they had to be a flat, ballerian type shoe, and not white. I was actually looking more along the lines of a funky pattern or colour type shoe. Everyone was handing me shoes to try on (even my nieces) and everytime there was something that wouldn’t click. Yet every time I would put back on my crocs i would mentionn how comfortable they are and how I loved them. finally after 3 hours shopping and nothing found (other than my moms dress for the wedding 🙂 it wasn’t a lost trip to the mall after all 😉 ) We decided treat the girls to ice cream because they were being so great. As we are all talking about everything and nothing my niece turns to me and says ” Sasa, If you are so comfortable in your Crocs, why don’t you wear Crocs to your wedding?” Then it heat me like a tons of bricks. Ive been shoppping around for all this time and never once did i find somehting as comfortable as these ugly Crocs. Maybe she was right. That night I went online to Crocs web sight and discovered so many different models and types of shoes. And YES actually pretty looking shoes. Well My niece was right I bought Crocs for my wedding, here they are….
