I think it is one of the prettiest rings I have ever seen.  It’s perfect, and I am glad your didn’t go with a halo.  I think they are just too busy, especially with a stone as large and pretty as yours.  Congratulations on your engagement.  As for it being “warm,” I say who cares.  It is amazing.  Some people like ice white.  I think the warm stones are just as pretty!

LindseyJPJ84:  you’re welcome. My stone has a little warmth too, in some lights. I like that it has some character. :-).

LindseyJPJ84:  I can’t understand how “warmth” developed a negative connotation, when the range of colors provided by nature are so beautiful-all of them. The diamond industry has conditioned people to favor colorless stones b/c of the monetary increase in value. It is a tactic that allows them to demand higher prices for maximum profit. These artifical ‘standards’ are not a reflection of the stones beauty. The beauty is in the eye of the individual beholder. People are conditioned to see beauty in what they are told is better, and they base an opinion on standards not even defined by themselves. Not everyone buys into this, but some people sadly do to the point where they feel inferior by anothers standards.

You might want to try perceiving the ring fresh, in the moment without outside information if you can close out the opinions of others. That being said, as a person observing, it is my humble opinion that you are truly lucky to have this gem and if I were your friend I would urge you not to allow internet boards to make you feel insecure, as I sense could be the case. It is a sad thing that I am noticing with users here. I am probably not telling you something that you don’t already know, but it is not necessary to conform to be beautiful.

    Wear in good health~~and Enjoy!
