I haven’t heard of it – at first I thought you were asking if anyone used regular eat-’em tomatoes to wash their face! Good luck getting some opinions!

I buy the Yes to Cucumbers face wipes to get my eye makeup off, but I just stopped believing any acne washes after trying everything on the market as a teenager.

I recently started mixing a dab of the St. Ives Blackhead and Blemish control exfoliating face wash with Cetaphil daily and my skin has never looked better.

Haven’t tried the tomatoes version, tried yes to carrots but wasn’t a huge fan.

@Jamcnair:  I have but I actually use real tomatoes! I have known this little secret since I was 14 and needed to have a clear face for my Sweet 15’s. I would slice up tomatoes and spread it over my face and sometimes I would leave the slices on my face for a while. It helped to clear my face.

I recently switched to using exuviance antibacterial facewash, and then simple cetaphil moisturizer.  I feel like before I was doing the reverse and applying the treatment after cleansing, but this seems to work better.  It balances oil production.

Let us know how this tomatoes things works!  i’m always interested in acne products (I’ve even tried that stupid blue light nonsense; didn’t work!)

Yeah, tell me if it works… I get awful spots. I also have to be careful as I’m allergic to anything containing nut oils (I can eat nuts, I just can’t let the oil touch my skin). I used the St Ives before and had a really bad reaction similar to a chemical burn, where all my skin peeled off! I presume it’s because they used to use nut oils? Not sure if they still do…

When I was 20 I participated in the La Tomatina tomato fight in Bunol, Spain. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s basically a giant party where everyone throws tomatoes at each other, it’s insanity but so much fun! So anyways, I have to say, after getting pelted with a few hundred tomatoes and being drenched in tomato juice for hours, it’s the softest and cleanest my hair and skin has ever felt!!!! I’ve always meant to do a tomato juice wash since then, but I’ve never gotten to it.

I would definitely try out that product line!

(Not my photo but definitely exactly what happens!)
