I was also aware of the price differences between TTG and other moissy companies but ultimately decided on getting a ring from True Gem because of the reasons that you listed – they’re a family business that takes pride in their work! I also really loved how their stones looked in comparison to other moissanite brands and totally get what you mean about the plastic-y look. Some other companies that we looked into were Ring Come True. I’ve also heard a lot about Tianyu! This is my Jennie solitaire in champagne and white gold. I have no regrets! I hope that you find something that works for you, Bee! Keep us updated. 078929A4-99C5-488E-BF64-D4E2224B2839

heytherebrittany :  I had a wonderful experience with StarsGem and i’m obsessed by with my ring!! it is STUNNING. there’s a bit of a language barrier but it isn’t bad. as long as you go in very specific about what you want, it’s pretty easy. and I found it easier to just email them versus using the website.

If True Gem is still out of your price range, I would either consider one of the Chinese companies or look at preloved.  There are even a lot of preloved moissy on Loupe Troupe or Diamond Bistro for cheap.  The Chinese rings are pretty good for basic solitaires or pave.  You could also save by buying a loose moissanite from them and getting a jeweler to make a ring for you or get a standard Stuller setting which is still pretty good quality.

There are many ways to get the best bang for your buck.  You probably need to do some reading on the boards. The Chinese companies are quite easy to order from.  You just send them a picture and they give you a quote. You will get a CAD and once you approve it, about 3 week later it will be ready and shipped to you in 3 days.
