So. I was watching a locally produced wedding show the other day… the bride was shopping for veils. The local salon talked her into a birdcage veil in front, AND a cathedral veil.
Reminds me of that mullet saying….Business in front, party in the back??? Ok not really, but it made me lol.
Has anyone ever seen someone wear two veils like this? I understand blusher + chapel or cathedral, but I have never seen birdcage + cathedral. Was this bridal salon just smooth with their up sell?
I am asking because I think I actually like the way it looked. I can’t figure out if I’m crazy or not.

I’ve never seen that… I feel like the two different kinds of fabric/netting would look strange together…
AND I LOVE your mullet reference. Mwah!

Hmmm. It’s kind of hard to imagine? Maybe it looks good if they’re both just the right material? I think it might be one of those things you’d have to see to believe, because in writing it sounds kinda funky, and not in a good way :).

yeah, both veils were the same material, or well extremely close. I think both were tule, but the birdcage didnt have the large holes – it was more of the bubble type veil material…but it wasn’t a bubble veil….and definitely not a blusher.
I cant figure it out.
And I can’t figure out if I love it or hate it. hahaha
I wish i would have taped the show…or I wish i could find a picture of what the hell im talking about!

Here’s one example of this (I don’t remember the source, sorry) that I think is really pretty.

@cleve_girl01: That would be unveiled bridal designs I believe. Their models tend to wear that dress.

Definitely not for me, but the mullet comparison made me giggle. Much needed after the day I had, so thanks!

@cleve_girl01 oooh that’s very close to what I saw. Thanks for finding that!
I do like it! Not a fan of that dress though.

Oh, ok. Without the pics I couldn’t visualize it. That does look quite nice.

I’m debating on doing this, but am not sure if I want the two different fabrics.
