i had to pick the last choice because it made me laugh. but seriously, the dress is fine.  i don’t see any white.

a girl asked earlier about a white dress with black polka dots and that dress was perfectly acceptable.

    a) does it look like you are trying to be the bride? NO

    b) is the dress predominately white? NO

summer is close and it is hot, you want to wear lighter colors to feel comfortable.

    Etiquette Snob here… lol

The dress is fine… it doesn’t read White, Cream, Ivory, etc at all.

Hard to judge the sweater, shrug, bolero without seeing it… but more than likely you’ll be fine.  If it is a concern for you… opt for another coloured item to wrap yourself in.  Lol, altho there is a good chance you’ll be too warm begin with (so no need for sweater / wrap at all)

    Hope this helps,

@MexiPino:  I think you should be fine, but if you’re at all worried, you might as well switch out sweaters so you don’t have to think about it.

You are definitely fine. I’ve seen people wear WAY WAY WORSE to weddings in terms of controversial wedding guest clothing. This past weekend, I went to the SO’s friends’ wedding, and the ceremony was at a Catholic church. Apparently it’s ok to wear clubwear to a Catholic church nowadays with what some of the girls were wearing… But I digress. YES, your dress is fine and perfect for that wedding theme.

@lealorali:  The OP wasn’t concerned about her dress per se, but about the white shrug (bolero?) that she was planning on having accompany the dress. Majority ruled that the combo was fine.
