Hi Bees – in case some of you Boston bees haven’t heard, Yolanda’s bridal is closing and they’re liqidating their stock. I heard on the news last night that they’re discounting all sample dresses up to 75%!! Just thought I’d pass the info along… here’s the website if you want to check it out:
Too bad my wedding is over…would it be awful if I went just to check things out anyway? LOL!

I just heard the news! I got my dress from Yolanda’s and it is actually still there! I had them hold it until I was ready for alterations. Now I’m freaking out. Anyone from the area have suggestions on where to go for alterations? I’m almost 2 months out from my wedding date and have a wedding dress that’s 2 sizes too big 🙁
Good thing is it’s paid for, now I just need to go pick it up! Maybe while I’m there I’ll see what’s on sale and grab a second dress for the reception 😉

I just came to the Boston board to post about this! I plan to go with a friend who is recently engaged to try to find a dress for her — as well as possibly a veil for me and a bolero/jacket of some sort too!
Has anyone been? is it a mess over there? Burke when you go, you’ll have to report back on what’s going on! We won’t be able to go til next week so I hope there are still some things left.

I don’t know if this helps anyone, but I’m pretty sure that’s where a friend of mine bought her dress. She told me yesterday that she was freaking out (her wedidng’s next summer, so dress just recently ordered). But when she called them they told her that her dress would just be sent to another bridal salon. She did have to call them to get that info though, which we both thought was pretty irritating. If you’re dress is still there, def. give ’em a call and find out if they’ve made arrangements…it sounds like they have for at least some people.

I stopped by Yolanda’s today and it’s pretty quiet. I was expecting a mad house and liquidation signs everwhere, but the store was pretty empty.

Man, 75% off makes me want to plan a trip to Boston!

I went on a Friday morning and thought it was awesome… very professional, clean, not a lot of people and plenty of options.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> My Mom even got her dress that day for 50% off—and it’s in her closet now!<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”> Unfortunately mine was from a trunk show so they couldn’t give me 50% off, but they did knock off 20% for me which was nice.<span style=”mso-spacerun: yes;”>
