@piticuta:  Have a baby lol

I had a friend just like you, under 100 lbs and thought she was too skinny. She had a baby and now her normal weight hovers around 110 and she loves it haha

Not the easiest or wisest solution but proven to work!!

Seriously though, I’d try upping your protein. I know you said it makes you nauseous to think about so maybe try things that don’t *scream* protein the way steak and shakes do. Maybe peanut butter, spinach, nuts, beans…

@piticuta:  A friend of mine actually had to start taking pills to gain weight. I dont know if you’re wanting to go that far, but I could ask her what kind of pills she takes, if you want.

Definitely, start a weight training program. If you can’t gain fat, gain some lean muscle! It probably won’t do much for your boobs, but you can definitely build a booty! (You can always go buy the boobs, lol!)

Try eggs/Greek yogurt/high protein foods.

I have a friend who eats like 3,000 cals/day and CAN’T gain weight. She says it’s a real pain!

Eat calorie rich foods that are good for you, like almonds, peanut butter, avocado, and cheese. I wouldn’t load up on junk food, I think that’s the wrong way to go about gaining weight in a healthy way.

I also second weight lifting, and lifting heavy. If you lift with more weight in pounds you’ll gain muscle mass. I actually had to stop lifting so heavy because my arms got too big to fit into my sleeves, lol.

I would do a high calorie protein shake. Maybe something like this:

1 Cup Milk or Soy Milk

1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter

1 Bananna

1 Cup Frozen Fruit (I buy bags of mixed berries or the tropical mix from Trader Joes)

2 Scoops Protein Powder

1 Cup Ice

This is probably about 600 calories and is a great workout recovery drink. My Fiance drinks this and I ommit the bananna and Peanut Butter since i need less calories.

Have your thyroid checked for a medical problem. If you’re truly eating more healthy calories than you’re consuming you will gain weight. If not, then eat more. You can easily consume 1700 healthy calories which should cause you to gain weight. There are plenty of healthy high calorie foods you can eat.

@piticuta:  Or, you could just enjoy it and embrace your high metabolism while it lasts.  I was always super-skinny when I was younger but after age 40 it’s harder to keep that going.

@piticuta:  Soda!  It really dictates my weight, whereas eating steaks, burgers, hot dogs, etc, doesn’t make me gain.  Also, try late night snacking (one of my fave things to do lol).

How often do you eat? I used to be the same (5’5 and less than 100lbs) but now I eat every 2 hours and weight train. My weight fluctuates between 105-108lbs now, but my body generally looks the same.

I always have Clif bars, a banana, and a bag of trail mix or almonds with me in case I need to eat.
