Ooh this is though! I dont care for man made stones, so I think id go with a green emerald, possibly blue sapphire or a ruby! Or a morganite, but they are not as durable, are they? Oh no, wait! Id pick a white sapphite!!! Yep!!!!

I have a traditional Sapphire like a lot of people I know… I wouldn’t of wanted a Diamond to begin with really as I find colourless stones boring (I did see a nice yellow diamond once but whats the point of paying £18k for something that looks like Citrine which is 100th the price) but other stones I love are Garnet and Opal

I’ve always preferred colored stones to white/colourless stones, but I’m sad that I haven’t seen as many votes for topaz rings. I mean I completely understand that gemstones aren’t as hard as diamonds, but I would love to wear this beauty:

What I’m actually getting — a mossy. I couldn’t handle all the drama that comes with a diamond being a symbol for our marriage.
I love, love, love the sapphires but it would drive me nuts to wear a colored stone with every outfit that might not match. I’m almost kind of bummed that I couldn’t enjoy wearing a sapphire, as they’re so beautiful

my original set has side diamonds of saphires. Which I still love, but I did want diamonds with a bigger middle diamond. So evenually I upgraded and now I have that. 🙂 Lots of women in my family had original sets then later changed them, so I don’t feel bad about that.

grisbear : but my sapphire DOES match everything! It’s like a pair of dark demon skinny jeans – it goes with anything in my closet (:

I picked a colored stone by choice, I didn’t want a diamond center stone. 🙂 I have a natural 1.2 ct sapphire with a 1ct diamond halo

moissanite. the only reason I didn’t get that originally is because fi really wanted diamond.

Tanzanite… Or amythest…. Or sapphire… Or ruby 🤔
Probably a white sapphire, neutral to match everything!
