So, without telling any interested parties, I popped into Neiman Marcus Last Call today and found the total opposite of what I was looking for. For $150! I feel like it can’t be this easy, so I have to sleep on it, and get some feedback.
We’re having a casual reception at a wine bar, so I was thinking a short or even tea-length dress (like the one pictured below the long one), and then I found this- I don’t know if it is even what I want, but it’s kind of the best thing that’s ever slipped itself onto my body… If I get it, it changes the whole feel I was going for. Please excuse the messy hair and sourpuss look on my face, but what do you think? Does the champagne wash me out? Can he still wear grey, or will it have to be black now? Is it ok for a May wedding?

You look beautiful in both… but Dress #1 (the long dress) is a WOW dress! I’ve never seen anything like it! You look beautiful in it. And, at that price tag? It looks like some really expensive designer couture dress.
The lining on the edge of Dress #1 looks like it’s dark gray?
How does each dress make you feel when you have it on?

I think the champagne looks good on you. I love both dresses. That first dress has a great vintage look to it-kind of a roaring 20’s thing going on. I love it! The second dress is also super cute, and I think that would work just as well for the type of casual wine bar reception you are having.

get them both! I love the second one on you better, but I think the first one is says bride more, and it is also very unique and beautiful.
I also think the champagne color would look excellent next to gray!

I like the first dress. Does it come in white? or do you have to buy as is? I suggest you bring a gray suit and put it up against the dress. It doesnt wash you out.
How i could tell if it was the right dress is i thought about how i would feel a year or more after the wedding looking at my pictures. Would you remember why you chose this dress?
The amazing price makes it more exciting too

@bells219: LOVE dress number 1 WoW=D

I love the first one on you, gorgeous!

The torso on dress #1 is wayyyyyy too long for your body, it throws off the proportions and makes it look a bit strange to me. Dress #2 fits you very well and flatters your body. If your reception is fun and casual.. def go for #2

#1 is unique, but for some reason its giving me the belly dancer vibe? lol. I really like #2 on you, and the champange color is great eitherway.

The first one is an amazing dress but I really like the second one on you better. The color is great either way, but #2 just seems like it fits you body better IMO.

I like the second one a lot better. If I were you though, I would keep looking. You might something in between that would be perfect. Love the champagne, wish I had gotten a darker ivory myself!

That first dress is beyond. I wish I owned it. Lord. PLEASE wear it.

You look AMAZING in the first dress! It’s so unique and I don’t even know you but it somehow seems as though it is VERY you! It is more bridal than the other dress and i think it would look great at your venue. If you’re a bit worried, simply get both. Wear the first one to the ceremony and the second one to the reception!

The top of dress #1 it way too long. It really makes you look disproportionate.
You look really awesome in the second dress!! Really cute.
