Depends! If the wine is high quality I’ll have red or white, alternately if there’s actual champagne I’d want that. Liquor-wise.. I’m partial to bourbon on the rocks or a margarita on the rocks.. but I’d also settle for just tequila and limes.

I’m usually not as picky at open bars as I would be at home, or in a restaurant.. I’m usually just grateful that the person is such a good host and would really be fine with anything. You’ll never please everyone, so I think what you’re leaning towards is perfectly suitable!

Summer- definitely a gin & tonic. But if there was champagne, I would go for that!

I usually drink white wine, but for special occasions like weddings, my go-to drink is a gin & tonic. Every once in a while, I’ll have a Captain & diet too. I haven’t been to a wedding where they served a signature cocktail, but I would definitely drink one of those as well.

Barbiestylez: I wouldn’t drink liquor but I would like some red zinfandel or riesling.

Ceasars have been popular at weddings I’ve been to with a bartender.

    Barbiestylez: Water. Lol!

I am like, the least helpful person when it comes to booze. I’ve never really liked the taste of alcohol or how it makes me feel. I do occasionally like a glass of Pinot Grigio though.

I usually order champagne or a white wine. If you aren’t doing champs, my fall back to the hard stuff is vodka with club soda and an extra lime. If you’re looking for a budget friendly, good quality vodka, I suggest Tito’s.

    I love me a good apple-tini or pear-tini.

I voted gin and tonic but I also frequently order scotch!

For me it would all depend on the BRAND of liquor you were offering. I’m a vodka martini gal, but I won’t go below Stoli as far as quality. If you were offering Absolute I’d definitely go for the Patron instead. Same thing with whiskey, if it’s Jack then I’ll go for a beer or wine instead.

Barbiestylez: If my one and only experience with an open bar is anything to go by, I’ll spend the evening not realising it’s an open bar and think that everyone who offers to get me a drink is being remarkably generous.

What I normally order at a bar: Chambord sour, margarita, long island iced tea. I probably wouldn’t expect these drinks to be available at a wedding since chambord is a liqueur and long islands require lots of alcohol, so I’d probably opt for a vodka mixed drink or wine

Looks like I’m in the minority, but my friends and I are tequila people. Love us some chilled Pat Ron! If there’s only bottom shelf tequila then I usually go for a Tequila Sunrise.

    Vodka lime press here.

Sometimes if I’m feeling naughty I go for a rye&coke press but I can’t drink whiskey like I did when I was 20 anymore! Lol

A vodka and cranberry is one of my more simpler choices…but anything coffee or creamy speaks to me in such a way.

There’s actually a fave bar my friends and i love where my top pick off the menu is a fancier Quick Fuck Coctail . I tell you- the best drink I’ve ever had!
