I have a room i use as a sewing room/crafting room/wedding crap room/whatever i want room. I am more of a pack-rat than my Fiance and I like just having a place to have all that overflow stuff that doesn’t fit anywhere else in the house 🙂

@nyebride: i love this idea. put a nice comfy chair in there to sit and do nothing. if you read, add a bookcase. if you listen to music, a cd/mp3/record player. if you like to watch shows he doesn’t, a tv. the possibilities are endless Smile

Turn it into a dressing room! Put a vanity in it with really good lighting and set up all of your makeup, jewelry and accessories. It’s like every girl’s fantasy!

We have 5 extra bedrooms and this is what we’ve done/will be doing with them

One is an office – we currently have a glass top desk in it, but we’re searching for an antique wooden desk with matching bookshelves to cover a full wall.

2 (1 in basement, 1 upstairs) are guest bedrooms/back up room for when I snore! lol Fiance is a light sleeper and sometimes when I snore he can’t fall asleep and will go to another room to sleep.

A storage room in our basement is for all our decorations, or seasonal things!

And lastly – I haven’t started it yet, but it will be my “meditation” room.  Somewhere to come and meditate in complete silence!

We’re just starting to plan our reno, and I’m definitely having a craft room! Of course now Darling Husband says “Well but I get to come in there too. What if I want to have a meeting?” Then you go somewhere else. Get out of my room. LOL!

We’re also having a big walk-in closet with an island for my jewelry, etc. Darling Husband is getting a BIG garage for all his tools. A mudroom will be awesome too. We’re also putting a cool home theatre into the basement. I can hardly wait to start!!!!

A friend of mine turned a small extra bedroom that they had into a closet! It’s amazing.  Also, I saw this in Country Living magazine, about a women with a tiny house who turned a whole room into a dressing room (I think it’s the 6th or 7th picture if they link doesn’t bring you right there!).

I would love to have a dressing room! Of course, I would also need a maid because I would probably leave everything a mess…

* Library (ever since Beauty and the Beast I’ve wanted a library)

* Closet! hahaha imagine all the clothes you can store in there

* Guest room for when your bff visits

* Game room? I know that might be more your hubbys thing, but it’d be fun

A ‘Lady” Room.  Rotating Closet ala Cher’s in Clueless with a computerized inventory of all clothing plus a outfit making program haha.  A Vanity.  An en suite bathroom.  A purple Chaise lounger with cream curtains.  A flat screen TV and small refrigerator stocked with drinks. ETC ETC

library.

straight up.

wall to wall, ceiling to floor built in bookcases with a nifty chaise lounger & maybe a sweet vintage office desk for writing and whatnot.
