The ones who look at fast food and pasta and tasty sweets and say ‘Oh just looking at it makes my stomach hurt.’ I am not one of those people. I would love some french fries dipped in a chocolate shake right now!
I thought of it because I ate my low fat hamburger tonight, and I added a peice of bacon. My roommate’s weird boyfriend looked at me like I was a disgusting fatty and said ‘that it horrible. Why would you add fatty meat on top of fatty meat’ Um hello!? Bacon burgers are the bomb. Not to mention I am using low fat beef mixed with turkey, and eating on a low carb bun. I wanted to deck him… He only ever eats tuna and salmon. And eggs. And protien shakes.
No offense to anyone who really does hate non-healthy foods, as I am crazy envious. I just wish that I could have a magic calorie zapper so I could have all the tasty things I crave. Anyway, thats my rant of the day. 🙂

BACON, yummy yummy wonderful bacon. I am with you, I do my best to eat well but I am not going to say that I LOVE it. I recently had to switch all my carbs to whole grain carbs. Man I would do a lot right now just to eat a peanut butter toast on wonder bread. Runza fries and a Dairy Queen shake, now I want that too.

I love food thats “bad” for me too. I’m not massively into fast food, but i do love it from time to time. My “problems” mainly centre around cheese, full cream milk, things cooked in butter. Yum *sigh*

The more I cut out bad foods, the easier it is to not eat them. They’ll upset my stomach when I eat them. But of course that doesn’t mean that I won’t get down with some onion rings or gummie bears. I mean come on!
I’m interested in being healthy and making the right choices, but I hate it when people are especially snobby about it, you know? Meh.

I love my fast food, junk food, all of it. My sister makes a face as if it affects her, when it doesn’t. She compares me eating junk food in front of her and occasionally having a wrapper right next to me to her not flushing the toilet and leaving used tissues everywhere. So apparently to her me eating lots of junk food is really disgusting, even though she likes junk food too.

Ok, I’m glad I’m not alone. I find it easy to cut out soda, but thats about it. I could live on pasta and I’ve been trying to do the low carb/ whole wheat carbs and I gotta admit, I had some withdrawals. It doesn’t help that I love with so many people. There is always tasty food coming into and out of the house.

@ Jacqui90 Thats so funny. Although I do get a little snobby when fi wants me to drive his lazy butt to McDonalds. I mean, its hard enough to resist when I am not at the drive up window.
@ ladyartichoke butter and cheese! One of my fave easy but unhealthy meals is buttered egg noodles with parm cheese and pepper! Nom nom nom

Yeah, those kinds of people just make me feel bad about the foods I like. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE fresh, organic, local produce prepared well, but I also love bacon, butter, sugar, all that good stuff. If only I had a bag of puff cheetoes right now!!!

Bacon makes everything so much better! If I could I would live in a bacon house and nibble on it throughout the day ha!

I love bacon! I totally second your opinion that bacon burgers are da bomb! I enjoy some junky foods more then others, not a fan of cakes or donuts or icing or chips or chocolate bars, but give me ice cream or a flaky pastry and I’m gonna break my healthy eating habits!

@lb1369: I kinda don’t ever want to be that person… At work on a girls last day, several girls were complaining about how they couldn’t eat a whole piece…. I could eat half the cake if you let me! 🙁
Excuse me while I’m going to eat a bacon burger smothered in quac and extra bacon…mmmmm….
@Jacqui90: That’s mean.

Next time he’s enjoying his tuna or salmon, ask him why he would want to pump so much mercury into his body.

I’m finding that I’m turning into one of those people… I was finally able to stick to no sugar, no grains, LOTS AND LOTS of saturated/grassfed fat from butter and beef, and the littlest bit of grain wreaks havoc on my system.
When I do crave sugar, it’s generally in the form of icecream, which is fatty. We need fats to absorb vitamins…and liver is amazingly nutritious. I’m going to get some tomorrow so I can stock way up on sex-hormone producing cholesterol for my wedding night–and have beautiful clear skin to boot.
Have you checked out the Paleo/Primal WOE? There’s some awesome folks that wrote a book called “It Starts With Food” the “Whole30” challenge. They are all about debunking the low fat bull that’s turned America into the unhealthy obese elite that we are today.
The key is the quality of the fats and meat. We can’t expect to thrive if we’re eating animals that are stuffed full of unnatural food like corn and soy.

Its all a weird mindset people get in. I used to hate most veggies and healthy foods, until I started my degree in nutrition and learned about how good those foods are for me and then my preferences changed. HOWEVER, I do love me a good bacon burger 🙂

Oh my lord, bacon. I don’t care what anyone says, I love bacon.
I don’t mind eating wholesome food, but I’m not about to spend the rest of my life avoiding food that is delicious. I’m definitely a foodie, and I’m glad my boyfriend is too or that would definitely put a rift in our relationship. He makes baking requests for whenever I see him next, lol.
