That’s awful. I am sorry your shower was a bust. 🙁 Just remember that your wedding day isn’t about them. Make sure that whatever you decide is what’s best for you and your Fiance….Fuck the rest…

I am so, so sorry.  My Fiance and I had something similar happen… we had a dessert reception (read, HUGE dessert buffett for a sunset wedding).  It was such a late ceremony, that we thought everyone would eat before arriving, and we let them know we’d only be serving drinks and dessert.  I was pretty upset when we had only a handful of people for the first dance.

I wish we’d eloped!

I’m so sorry you had to experience this! Did anything happen that was our of the ordinary? (Weather? traffic? something?)

@sbharkness83:  Is it possible that something was miscommunicated?

Omg that is horrible. I totally understand your sadness over this. obviously you don’t want any of those people at your wedding but you can still have a nice ceremony with your SO and the ladies who organized your shower. Don’t miss out if you already have a dress and all. But those people who didn’t show up should not be invited unless they apologize to you and have a great excuse.

how were they invited and did they rsvp?  im sorry you were so disappointed

i feel very uneasy about this atttitude – people do have their own lives and someone not being able to attend a bridal shower does not mean you put them on the jeffrey dahlmer list of do not invite

I am so sorry to hear that!!! Just at this point do what you think if best for you and your Fiance. I know you are hurting right now, but you never know maybe there are some damn good reasons people didnt go. No matter what the reasons I am so sorry that you are upset!! Things will get better.
