I’m sorry!  I understand – my Fiance and I got engaged and set a date 1 1/2 years after the engagement date.  Suddenly his brother decided to get married 4 days after us.  Then, his cousin got engaged and is getting married 1 month later.  3 weddings in one family in basically one month is too much!  I was upset about the brother getting married 4 days after us (when we should be on our honeymoon!) but I know I would be even more upset if they were getting married suddenly before us!

We aren’t really discussing our wedding with the brother and cousin and visa versa – I don’t want “our” details showing up elsewhere…

I would refrain from sharing any more details my dear.  You have a copy cat bride on your tail!!

Oh nooooo she didn’t!  The audacity!  I am so sorry girl.  That just means a better dress is waiting for you right around the corner.  Plus, you can learn from her mistakes at her wedding.  My Future Sister-In-Law just set her date for 3 months before ours (we sent out save the dates like 8 months ago). Whatever. Nothing we can do about it I guess!

Awwwww that totally does suck, which dress was it?  I bet you’ll find a better one that will totally give you that wow factor, then you’ll be glad she bought the one she did so that you could find an even nicer one 😉

I didn’t mean she did it on purpose, but if you both have the same taste, then she may gravitate towards your ideas.

I’m dealling with, Future Sister-In-Law getting married 4 months after me bought the same dress the same day I showed Future Mother-In-Law pics of me in the already on its way to me dress, 4 hours before Future Sister-In-Law “found” it. and she didn’t cancel the order just said I was lying when I said it was the same dress as mine.

@Future: at least you know that she has the same dress style that you wanted and you have a chance to change. I have to go to two weddings before mine so I will be waiting and praying that they don’t have anything similar to me, but the good news is that they do not have the same taste as me.

@Miss Designer: she seems like a copy cat and if she is trying to “top you”, she would look silly because the guests will see you in that dress first!

can you show us a picture of the dress? You piqued my curiosity hehe.

and yeah, I had a friend do the same thing…her wedding is the weekend before mine, I had to step down as her Maid/Matron of Honor cause I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle the stress of it…she stepped down as my Bridesmaid or Best Man too.

Hopefully that’s the last thing/idea she steals from you.  At least it wasn’t THE dress for you, so on to others that will be the “wow” dress for you.  Things happen for a reason, and you’ll find a dress you’ll be much happier with.
