MsBrooklynA: Scary. I think she probably did pay for it herself. When you see the section of the show that shows her proposal it does not seem very realistic and very staged…I think this whole thing is a publicity farce.

@Treejewel19:  You tell us, girl!  You’ve got some big, beautiful diamonds as well!  🙂  (Please don’t be offended, I am totally joking.  Your rings are beautiful and tasteful.)

I don’t really think anyone should wear a diamond that big, whether you can afford it or not.  It’s like putting a target on your finger to get robbed.

@Treejewel19:

Actually I mis-remembered – he called the Kardashians something worse than tacky.

This is my favorite line of this NY Post article – “”I just think the Kardashians have an absence of taste and I don’t think that that should be perpetuated,” he said. “I’m sorry I’m sounding like an old farty, snob, but it bothers me.”

HAHA!  I love Tim Gunn!

I think the diamonds are beautiful. I agree though worn seperately they will look much classier. I think the emerald cut would’ve been better just by itself without side stones. It’s just too large or in a pendant. I love emerald cuts, but they are meant for understated elegance. Kim is not understated. That being said, I like Kim, I think that a lot of people believe she got famous from a sex tape and maybe that did help but she was a celebrity stylist and got very famous doing that too. I don’t know but I hope she stays happily married.

This thread sure made me LOL with some of the Bee’s responses. . .

I liked her band. The Ering perhaps if she wore it on the other hand? I doubt she’ll be wearing them together unless she’s at some event. .

I could not pull wearing rings like that, Oi, they’d be cracked, prong bent and such. I have a problem with my rings!! {if you’ve seen ’em, know I would have went smaller! lol} Not to mention being hurt when my Husband held my hand!  If she can do it…WOW.

As for the possiblity of her buying or chipping in for the ring… Well, Bee’s/Non Bee’s do it all the time don’t they? I see no problem with that… To each their own as far as funds go. {This coming from a Traditionalist’s point of view on the matter…haha}

Also, I’m not saying if I ever were to come into possession of rings of that nature… I wouldn’t wear them,  It just wouldn’t be a daily thing. Wink

@CrystalBlackheart: Oh, that’s so awesome! I love his description of “absence of taste.” So true.

Dude! That thing is huge! Can you imagine if you saw a “real” person with that on their finger?

And I would like to point out that I think she can bend her finger. There are a couple pics with her holding her bag 🙂

I actually really love the band, though I feel it would be REALLY uncomfortable to wear. Step cuts are beautiful. Together with that big rock, though? Not feeling it! Separate hands would be good. Not getting an e-ring that takes up half your finger would be even better. I think both of these rings would be amazing at a smaller scale.

I don’t like her ring, I would looove to have a smaller version of it tho.

It looks like costume jewlrey, I haven’t seen a picture of it where it is sparkling yet, it just looks dull.

Also, I hate the band with it, I agree w previous posters saying she is getting money mixed up with taste, AND I also agree w previous posters about Khloes ring, I LOVE IT!

i think she should auction the ring off for charity and get a much smaller version of it. The rings themselves are pretty but entirely way too big. Everyone knows your rich; you dont have to flaunt it off for the world to see.  I read somewhere that they spent 20K for the wedding cake, but it wasn NOT served to guest; a different cake was served for them. So what happened to it? was it thrown away? at least Kate and William donated theirs to a childrens shelter………………..priorities…….
