There’s no way.  I can’t believe he was willing to pay $800 for that.  Talk about claustrophobia!

The studio that the Fiance and I lived in for over a year (with two cats) was 125 ft. That doesn’t include the bathroom. Just the living room/bedroom/kitchen.

The fact that we managaed not to kill each other means that we will be married forever.

Reminds me of microhomes but for 800 I just don’t get 800 for that.  I have been trying to talk a developer friend into building a community of microhomes near the university for years.

wow… That’s amazing. I couldn’t do it… But I definitely understand it.. NYC is just nuts.. Now imagine fitting a family of like 5 or more in that unfolding apt.. That’s normal in hong kong and probably japan too.

@Sutaru:  That’s a pretty awesome set-up.

I need a lot of space to be comfortable, I don’t know that I could do the 78 sq. ft. thing. Eek! But I do agree with the woman with the small apartment, the lofted bed is so cozy. In college, the family I lived with gave me a room that had a twin bed anchored into the walls and hanging from a chain about 2 feet from the ceiling! It was crazy at first, and Mr.ND bought me a rail, but I actually kinda miss it.

If I had the organizing skills, I would totally do it.
