I’m really sorry that happened to you! We price check as much as we can before making any deals. It’s amazing how some people rip other people off. Yell

I ran into something similar. I love flowers, but I don’t typically purchase them. I knew what I wanted and started looking into buying just the flowers and doing the bouquets myself…except that I could only buy them in bulk quantities and it was going to cost $500 for all of these flowers that I was not going to use (bouquet for me with two kinds of flowers, five bouquets for the BMs with one kind), plus I had to worry about them dying or getting eaten by our cats. I looked into a local florist that my venue recommended, except that she has a $1000 (!!!!!!!!!!) minimum! Her bouquets start at $250!!!!! No thanks, I’m just going to purchase silk flowers and make the bouquets myself for less than $100 total.

ALSO. I asked my venue about renting their centerpieces. Our coordinator remembers us really well, and we even made it clear that we could NOT afford their Saturday night $10,000 minimum and moved to Friday with the $5,000 minimum (which we easily hit). Their centerpiece rental is $100 PER CENTERPIECE. I can make ALL of our centerpieces (for 12 tables and a sweetheart table) for $100 total. Ughhhh.
