Ok so about two months ago..maybe less. I sent President and Mrs. Obama an invite to our wedding….
Today in the mail we got a card from them congratulating us on our wedding. Signed by the both of them and not stamps. The card has an official white house seal and all and came in an official white house envelope. We were so super excited!!
I plan to frame it and have it at the wedding!!!
Pics below….I blacked out our last names and address on the envelope…sorry

Good Lawd! You sent those invites out early. 🙂
I’m sending an invite to Karl Lagerfeld. I hope I don’t get like dead puppies in the mail back. :p

That’s so weird. I just got mine in the mail today, too!
It’s so cool!
Looks better than the one we got from Disney from Cinderella and prince charming.
Edit: I think I sent mine out in Nov 2009.

Congrats! Your wait was a lot less than mine! We sent ours out in July 2009 and I just got mine in the mail today! I was ready to give up! I like how the address is written by someone human but feel sorry for the intern – handwriting addresses to tons of newlyweds.

Love this — such a keepsake! Definitely on my list of things to do once our invites are done. 🙂
