I’m 28 (technically not a “young” bee 😜), recently engaged in June. I have a vintage.54 ct center diamond with 10 .02 single cut diamonds on the top, bottom and sides totaling .74ctw, it’s from the late art deco period. I live in southern CA so my ring is considered extremely tiny as the average is probably 1.5-2+ ct in this area. Carat size was something I never even thought about, I was more focused on style and fell in love when I saw my ring. However, oddly enough, after being engaged and obsessing over all if the Weddingbee ring posts/pics I do now think of carat size all of the time! Lol

- Wedding: May 2014 - Tennessee
I was 26 when we got engaged (knocking on 30’s door now), and mine’s a .75 ct round solitaire. Seems to be pretty average for my area for people around my age, but larger and smaller stones are also pretty common around here. This is a university town and also a popular retirement destination so there’s a pretty big range of where people are in life and what they want/can afford around here. I say go for what looks right on your hand (budget allowing), you’ll drive yourself crazy otherwise. =)

I am 20 and got engaged 1 weeks ago. My ring is a 1 carat princess cluster and I’m in love with it! Most of my friends who are engaged have solitaires but the cluster was much more my style. My ring with insurance was just over £2k in total so quite a lot for someone of my age but my fiancé didn’t even want to set me a budget in the first place so probably could have got a more expensive one but I saw this one and wanted it so badly!

I am 23, so I don’t know if I qualify as mid-twenties, but I would consider myself a young bee. We bought my ring this past May, and it is 2 carats. My fiancé is 25. Absolutely love all the bling, ladies!

Haha I was the same way. Sometimes I wish I didn’t get so sucked into the weddingbee–“comparison is the thief of joy”–but I love looking at rings!

I’m 25 and this is my engagement ring – center stone is .46 ct and total ring weight was about .7 ct. I’ve always said I didn’t want anything huge and I love this one. I don’t think age has anything to do with the size you/your partner should choose though.

It’s not all about size, bees. Quality matters too 😉

In Poland rings are usually .33 or .5 carats. In Ireland im.not sure but my future is round brilliant 1 ct center stone and baguettes side stones im not sure but i know total is about 1.5 ctw. Although only the baguettes are diamonds. The center stone is a moissanite 😊
