People love to pick at things, my whole office things I am mad for getting engaged at 21, I will turn 23 on my Honeymoon which I don’t think is overly young, and my Fiance is 5 years older than me. However since I work in a very professional environment they are all the ‘get married at 35/40’ brigade, which there is nothing wrong with but because I am so far out of their norm I stick out and they make fun. Its how life works, try not to take it in (easier said than done, trust me there have been a few cry in the toilet moments at work because of all the haters!)
Just think you have met your one earlier and thats a good thing!

Well I can tell you that I just got engaged at 24 and people still think it’s too young! We are both college educated professionals with stable jobs, we have been living together for over a year, completely financially independent, and together almost 3 years, I’m not sure what’s so surprising about that! People usually calm down when we tell them we are having a long engagement, but I still get the vibe from many people that they think we’re too young. And this is coming from people my parents age who got married at 20 or 21. Basically everyone is thing to have an opinion, don’t let it bother you too much. I’m not sure why these days the expectation seems to be that everyone should wait till they’re 35 and have their best years behind them to get married. Is it so wrong that we want to spend our lives together and grow as a couple?
