    Philip

Secondary names that I like but probably won’t use:

happyascanbee1 :  I like Brandon the best, and it helps that it is the most uncommon of the names you’ve listed.

Ethan was #12 and Joshual was #41 in 2018.

allthatsparkle13 :  Are you a fan of Vampire Diaries? That’s wehre I heard Alaric. It’s such a cool name.

franklymydearidont :  hahaha yes! And I was pregnant at the time so Alaric was the name I picked for a boy. Everyone said I was having a boy but I left it a surprise ….sadly I only picked boy names and had a girl so I had to scramble hahaha

In researching the name Alaric, I really liked the origins too!

allthatsparkle13 :  Yes, same! I was surprised to find out that the origins were so legit–I researched it because I love the name too! I like the name Eric and Alaric is similar but with a unique flair. At the same time, my husband thinks Alaric is not widely used enough to not to be associated with the Vampire Diaries, so he’s against using it 🙁 but he doesn’t hate Eric.

I actually have a few unusual names I liked from the show. I’ve always loved the name Kai–it’s a gorgeous unisex name–but obviously not the character in the show was crazy. Then again, I have a close family member named Kai, so I don’t think I’d ever use it.

I also like Kezia/Ketzia (pronounced: Ketziah, spelled Qetsiyah on the show), which is a Biblical name but my husband also thinks it’s too out there. I also thought Amara was really pretty–that one is familiar enough that it’s usable and not necessarily associated with the show.

Lol, I guess this post is still on topic, although I moved past boys’ names, sorry!
