I love a lot of the recent stuff, especially gems like Juno and Judd Apatow’s latest.  The following are what I consider all-time classics, though.  In no particular order:

  1. Planes, Trains and Automobiles (Where’s your other hand?… Between these two pillows… Those aren’t pillows!)
  2. O Brother, Where Art Thou? (Well ain’t this a geographical oddity.  Two week from everywhere!)
  3. Little Miss Sunshine (Pageant scene:  What is your daughter doing?… She’s kickin’ a–, that’s what she’s doing!)
  4. Uncle Buck (Take this quarter, go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face!  Good day to you, madam.)
  5. Wonderboys (Every line by "Vernon Hardapple" CRACKS me up!)

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is probably the all-time favorite. I also love Animal House and the Blues Brothers.

I only have a couple that I love, love.  The rest of them change pretty frequently.  My favorites that I watch over and over are:

1)Shaun of the Dead

2)Just Friends

Currently my new favorites are all that understated comedy/sweet, emotional ending feel that is becoming more popular:

1) Be Kind, Rewind

3)Adventureland (I saw this last week and LOVED it!)

4)Run, Fat Boy, Run

My favorite comedy (I believe that is the genre), is "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." I know it isn’t the best comedy out there but it had gotten me through a bad breakup when I was in college. It was the first movie I know of that allowed me to laugh by myself. I am a weirdo but it is hard for me to laugh by myself. I tend to not find things funny when no one else is around or that is how I used to be.

@ Bellenga & Lit Geek26: I LOVE LOVE Christopher Guest, esp Spinal Tap & Best in Show! Ironically enough, my Fiance surprised me this past Sat with tickets to see Christoper Guest, Harry Shearer, & Michael McKean’s Unplugged Show where they performed songs from Spinal Tap & A Mighty Wind, it was one of the best & funniest shows we’ve been to in a while!

Okay, so here are my top 5 (besides Christopher Guest, lol):

1) Billy Madison

2) Hear no Evil, See no Evil

3) 40 Year old Virgin

4) Napoleon Dynamite

5) Pure Luck ( I loved this movie as a kid!)
