I tried to avoid bloat for several days before my wedding, but the morning of the wedding I ate a big old bagel with cream cheese, orange juice (which I barely ever have), and a banana. After that I was too nervous to eat until after the ceremony when our venue coordinator brought us a lovely tray of cheese, crackers, fruit, and alcohol while we did pictures 🙂

We had a spread of fruit, bagels, and pastries while we were getting ready, but I mostly just ate some protein granola to keep my energy up.  I also brought some protein granola to the getting ready party at my friend’s wedding and it was a big hit!

I had some detox tea the morning of with a muffin. After my hair and makeup was finished around noon, my matron of honor made me eat half a pesto chicken wrap so I wouldn’t get hungry.

I probably had the most unhealthy breakfast embarassed I had a taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel with salt, pepper, ketchup. A true Jersey breakfast. I knew I would be drinking and wanted to have a full stomach. Thankfully my corset covered up any bloating.

Coco pops! Haha. I didn’t eat a lot on our wedding day, I managed most of a croissant for an early lunch once mum realised we should eat something before the ceremony.

A pickle and a large order of fries from Wendy’s which I ate sitting on the toilet in the venue because the room I was supposed to be hidden in had flooded and that was the last place out of sight.

june2017bride :  I made myself some eggs with a bit of cheese on them.  I usually drink coffee daily but that day I didn’t drink any coffee because I was freaked out it would mess with my digestion (I have Crohn’s disease).  Eggs are a pretty safe bet, and a nice source of protein to keep you full.

We also had a lunch of deli sandwiches for us and our wedding party at my parents’ house, which was where we took pictures.

I DO NOT recommend not eating breakfast because the day is long and you are walking all over the place and I guarantee you will get crazy hungry if you don’t eat anything.

I will be eating a full breakfast because I have the tendency to faint! And the last thing I need is to be hungry on my wedding day and faint at the altar haha. I’m planning on doing a Starbucks run in the morning and having a latte and a breakfast sandwich 🙂

edit: I should mention that my dress is A-line/ball gown so it will hide any bloaty tummy! So I guess that’s kinda lucky 😊

I think I had an english muffin and an egg? Or maybe some yogurt? Probably a bit of fruit. And coffee. Our venue was a farmhouse B&B, so they had a light breakfast spread out for those who were staying there. I woke up early on my wedding day, went for a run, then had this light breakfast. I also ate 1/2 a veggie panini while getting ready.

If your dress fits you, what you eat for breakfast should be irrelevant. If it matters, the dress is probably too small.

That being said, eat something with protien that’s low in sugar. I like oatmeal and raw almonds if I know I have a long day ahead and not much chance to eat.

And DEFINITELY DO EAT. Skipping breakfast will make you tired and potentially hangry. Just force yourself to have something to keep you on your feet.

I had plain Greek yogurt topped with muesli, raspberries and a little drizzle of maple syrup. One cup of coffee instead of my normal two! I didn’t eat any lunch just because I was super busy all day so I can as glad I had eaten breakfast. My ceremony wasn’t until 6:00 pm and dinner was probably close to 7:30.
