The day that I found myself subtly (yet deliberately) commenting to my local Maid/Matron of Honor and bridesmaid (who were hosting my bridal shower) about some beautiful invitations that I had seen at an upscale stationery boutique, I realized that I had crossed an etiquette line and that I was attempting to have influence over something that was NOT my decision to make. I still cannot believe that I actually said something about this. These wonderful ladies have amazing taste and did a great job with my shower AND my invitations. They certainly did not need any recommendations or input from me, LOL.

I only had one and even through this I was actually quite calm.I brought 2 bridesmaids dresses that were too small for the girls online so I brought 2 more. I took them to an alterations lady (big mistake should have taken them to a dressmaker) and she altered them to fit my bridesmaids no problem. Then we decided to add straps and I couldn’t find material that matched the colour of the dress so I took one of the spare too small dress to the lady to cut up to make straps. She put a pin on it with the words “spare dress to use” so she knew what one to cut and my bridesmaids names were on theirs. The day before the wedding we went to get them and the dresses didn’t fit my bridesmaids. She had cut up the wrong dress and rearranged the name tags on them and acted all confused when the dress my bridesmaid tried on was too small. We figured it out. Then when I went to pay she tried to charge me for “all the work she has done and time she spent on altering the dresses”. I said “but the dress you altered to fit my bridesmaid you cut up!!!” She gave me a discount. Was so fucked off. So my bridesmaid Emma ended up wearing the original dress I started with and was meant to be cut up for straps  (which was still too small even after bein let out as much as possible) and tori had emmas dress cos she’s bigger so couldn’t fit the original one that was meant to be cut up but wasn’t. Hope that all makes sense!!! It does in my head lol.

Stupid bitch alterations lady she acted so dumb and like what’s going on why isn’t it fitting etc i dont get it well we worked it out and she had done it, then realised then changed the names on the dresses!!!! Still makes me mad every time I think about it lol
