I love your fiance’s response. I can’t believe they tried to go over your head and ask you fiance in the first place! WTF?! That would make me mad.

These people are just plain rude!

@March1stBride:

BOOM!  I would have a hard time being as firm as your Fiance so I’m loving the fact that he was.  Hopefully this is the end of it for you although I am guessing your Future Mother-In-Law will also hear a complaint.

I don’t think there’s anything hard about it. I’d just decline and move on. It’s the couple’s choice, not mine.

@March1stBride:  YES! You Fi sounds great! I love it when Darling Husband helps me stand firm on something like that and makes us a united front!!!! 😀

I am still shocked by the balls these people have!

@March1stBride:  I think your Fiance is the best freaking person in the whole world right now.  This is EXACTLY how my Fiance has been throughout the planning process and I cannot even begin to tell you how much it has meant to me to know he’s on my side and will stand up for us no matter what.

You should probably marry him.

@March1stBride:  at this point who cares about politeness! It’s been out the window for awhile. Of course they kept pushing- but this time from a different angle!! It’s just too much! Do they have zero self awareness!?!?!? I bet she gave him hell to make that call.

That was NOT too rude of a response.

Your fiancé is the man! After endless Bee threads about softie Fiances always caving- to yours I say BRAVO!!!

He squashed this once and for all! Now you can relax (and prob mark them a no). UNLESS she still wants to trot around in front of your FIs mom whilst giving you the cold shoulder…. To be continued! Do let us know. Glad you don’t have to deal with this anymore but hey it did entertain a whole forum of ladies with the pure insanity!!

@March1stBride:  Haha! I love your FI’s response!

Who would even ask for a family exception? It’s a wedding; money says the majority of people there are family!

@March1stBride:  Kudos to your Fiance for putting an end to this and sticking up for you. And don’t worry about tact – this woman was FAR from tactful and just downright rude. If your Fiance had to be that blunt to make his point, then so be it.

LOVE that response by your FI! Sorry I’d been creeping / following this drama and happy to see he ended it. Or at least I hope he did. You really were being harassed.
