2. Early preschool teacher (day care)
3. Dream Job/Career: Speech language pathologist
I’m currently going back to school, since teaching public school with terrible administration was such a crappy experience. It made me really sad because teaching was my dream career, but it was about the kids for me, and not for administration.

Degree: Music Education
Current Job: Music Teacher (Pre K – 8th grade music, band)
Dream career: I’m actually working on that right now. I do administrative type work as a second job with a music studio and we are in the process of building a program from scratch which offers music education opportunities to schools that may not be able to finance their own music teachers and also homeschool bands. Eventually I will go over to that full time once it makes sense, and probably teach band in 1-2 programs myself. Being my own boss…working from home…having the flexibility in my schedule…all would be amazing. I don’t think I would be the kind of person who would be able to handle being at home while taking care of kids for example, or taking care of household things, but if I had a lot more flexibility in my schedule and also being able to do this, something I am very passionate about, would be amazing.

Major: Undergrad- English
Postgrad- Library Science
Current job: boring government desk job
Dream job: No idea at this point, I dreamed about being a librarian my entire life, but my postgrad- library job was at a library with a horrible administration and now I’ve been out of the field too long. I enjoy my work at the moment and have no plans to job hunt. I may go back to school to get a JD at some point. Work would pay for it and it would open up some other career paths, but it would also be so hard. I really don’t know that I want to go back to school after being out for 10 years. And those other career paths would necessitate moving to the DC area.
