So my last depo shot was June of 2016. My DH and I wanted to start TTC in Decemeber. I never got a period back so we went to the dr. She presicribed a BC pill to help reset my cycles all this did was cause a withdrawl bleed and cause continous spotting. I have now been getting a light 3 day period every two weeks for about a month and a half. Did anyone have any similar issues? When did your cycle return to normal?

happilywed1066 : I’m not TTC but my last depo shot was years ago. I’m on low dose pills instead. It took quite a while for it to get back to normal. But the first time I took depo and went off my period was literally right on time the next period.
Try not to stress, it will come. Depo is a strange drug. Are you still on bc? Because I went on seasonique right after the depo and my period was weird. I think if I was TTC I would have gone off bc altogether. I’d ask your doc if that’s an option. It takes a while to get back to normal.

sweatergal007 : I have now been off of every type of birth control for 3 months! I know I am being impatient I just hate not knowing whats goig on with my body! Thanks for the response!

happilywed1066 : Oh good! Good that you’re off it! Mine took forever but now I’m on low dose and I get a heavy period (sorry of TMI). But I’m never going near depo again. Low dose or no dose is my new motto. We’re probably TTC in a year or so.
So in short I’d wait some more months. But I’m sure you know that being really stressed will delay your period too. But easier said than done I’m a worrier too.

My friend got the depo shot and when she went off she had her period for about 2 months straight
