When I tried it on.. I knew.  We had a whole day planned of going to different places, I saw her at the first place and I knew, I was done.  Nah, I haven’t second guessed my choice.

I went into the bridal store with 3 dresses I found online and printed out.  1 dress was Maggie Sottero’s Carrie.  Before I could show these to my consultant, she went into an explaination of their tagging system, and pulled out a dress from literally over 1000 to show as an example.

She pulled out Carrie 🙂  What are the odds??  It was meant to be I guess. I tried on a few others, but quickly decided she was the one for me!

I went to davids bridal, though i found “the” dress until i saw my maggie sottero dress in a magazine, and then it was like in every single magazine, so finally i found a sample (only sample in the whole damn state!!) and i was in love.

Love at first sight for sure!! I actually lusted over it for months before we got engaged and I went to the bridal salon knowing I had to see it! I tried it on first and could see it as my gown but I still tried on about 20 gowns, so fun but it quickly became overwhelming and they were all beautiful!! I briefly wondered if I made the right decision…I mean, it’s HUGE…but quickly realized that I did and it was THE one!! So happy and can’t wait to wear it!!!

I tried on about 50 before I found THE DRESS, but then I tried it on about 3 times and sealed the deal. Had to be sure :o)

I actually hated my dress when I first tried it on. My sister/MOH LOVED it as did my gram. But I didn’t so I took it off, tried on others, then tried it back on…. and fell in LOVE with it!!

i scoured magazines for pics before going shopping and the one i liked best in the pictures was the one i ended up buying! i only tried on a total of 4 dresses, but kept going back to my “first love” and realized i didn’t need to see anything else!

I loved my dress before I tried it on.  About six months ago now, it was literally THE FIRST dress I bookmarked as a “maybe”, though I thought it was exquisite then. Time progressed, and I kept looking at it, admiring all its lovely details.  I bookmarked a million more dresses and fell in love with a bunch that were dramatically different in style from ‘the one’ but still very me.  The first dress, however, remained my top contender.  I tried it on along with about seven others I’d bookmarked (all were Kleinfeld exclusives without my even realizing it!) like two weeks ago at Kleinfeld and frankly, was expecting to be a little disappointed by my first pic after idealizing it so much.  But ‘the one’ was the first one I tried on at Kleinfeld and I knew immediately that it was love, even though the dress sample had definitely seen better days (apparently it’s been tried on A LOT).  All the others I tried on were pretty, but so far from right.  I was dead set on buying the first dress I’d ever considered.

I  can’t wait to go back with my family and make the downpayment! I just love it so much.

Good lord. I’ve been going back & forth about 2 dresses forever. I found them back in ummm… APRIL! I’m still a dress-less Sept. bride. Yeah – not cool.

I’ll eventually have a “help me pick” post but I wanna get pics of me in the dresses 1st. I’ve tried them each on but the consultants always say No pictures so I hafta sneak em. 🙁

EDIT: Oh yeah & they were the 1st 2 dresses I’ve tried on. I’ve tried on MANY in different stores since but still came back to those 2 styles. Ugh 🙁

It actually took me a good 20 min. of standing in it to realize it was “the one.” Even still, I kept trying NOT to like it. I wanted a ball gown and this was a mermaid! lol.

The longer time passes the more I’m in love.

@KLP2010 – your too funny. I actually wanted a mermaid and ended up with a dress that lands between an A line and a ball gown..

I tried mine on just to please my mom.. she saw it on a mannequin and really liked it.. i tried it on for the hell of it.. and once i had it on i was mad at myself for likin it… I wanted to not like it but I also didnt want to take it off haha… I finally tried another two – three dresses and decided I wanted to go back to this dress and after imagining myself walkin down the aisle in this dress,… thats when it hit me…

I even asked my consultant if every girl has “the moment” because I wouldnt know it if it smacked me in the face lol… can you tell Im really not a dress girl… I just got my dress this past sunday and i look at the picture of me in it every day…. puts a smile on my face.Laughing
