brilliant earth… ordering was easy according to my fiance and it is such an amazing place to buy jewelry. they have an actual store in san fran (don’t know where you’re from), but since we’re in florida we had to order online. you can have a rep from their store guide you during your purchase too. super ethical, environmentally conscious, and part of the proceeds go to communities in Africa affected by the diamond industry. it also doesn’t hurt that i loooove my ring. good luck.

Brilliant Earth.  I asked him to buy it from them, and he was really pleased with the process.  He said it was easy, and the customer service was wonderful.  The quality of the ring is amazing, I haven’t had any problems with it, and I’ve even been complimented on it by other jewelers (when I went to get it resized.  btw I mailed it back to them for resizing, and that too was a breeze).

Mine was from James Allen.  I brought pictures of the ring I was looking at to various jewellers in town and they were charging on average $2000 more for the same thing.  Fiance said that it was a simple process ordering the ring from James Allen.  They provided him with good customer service, allow for returns within the first 30 days, and offer free ring resizing, rhodium plating, cleaning, and prong tightening.  You would have to ship the ring to them to get this done though.

Blue Nile! Can’t say for sure how the ordering process went, but my fiance seemed happy with it. And I loooove my ring!

I think you can definitely get a better quality ring for a better price online.  We used whiteflash.com and had a very positive experience.  Check out pricescope.com for info.. most of the people on there order their rings online.  Other companies I have heard good things about are: james allen, blue nile, brian gavin diamonds, and good old gold.

My center diamond is from GoodOldGold and my setting is from EternityDiamonds. I highly recommend both!

My diamond from GOG appraised for over $1000 more than we paid for it. And EternityDiamonds had excellent customer service.

My advice is if you’re looking online, to look at the vendors listed on PriceScope and also the PriceScope forums. I learned tons just be reading on the forums.

My ring is from Brilliant Earth also and we had a wonderful experience with them. Their customer service is outstanding. They even took photos of the rings I was interested and emailed them to me when I wanted to see more angles than what they posted online. They were so helpful throughout the whole process. Fiance and I both love them!
