This may be contrary to what is commonly said on here, but when I recieve an edible favor at an event that already has food it doesn’t seem like much of a favor at all.  So I would say that anything practical is a better favor.

I love my favors!  We did a tea party, so all summer I went to flea markets, yard sales, and the salvation army and picked up cute tea cups.  Then I had tea bags made with our names on it, and we put them in the tea cups along with a bear made of honey on a stick, single packaged tea crackers, mints, and candies, them wrapped it in tooling and tied with a pretty ribbon and a small thank you tag.

I still have 15 left over if you want them. LOL What the heck do I do with the leftovers! ๐Ÿ™‚

I can’t remember ever receiving a favor at a bridal shower before. Is this common? I thought favors were for weddings.

It’s common where I am from (Northeast PA) I didn’t want to give one out at my wedding but in the end I had custom water bottles made that will be at each person’s seat.

I wouldn’t have gone so crazy making wonderful favors for my shower, but my Maid/Matron of Honor is super crafty and a good planner, so really it was her idea.

Hmm. I’ve actually never gotten a favor at any bridal showers I’ve been to, only at weddings. Does the shower have a theme?

for my sisters shower i got balck and whote cookies from the bakery, except told them to make it all white, and then wrote ‘Kristens shower’ and the date underneath that.  we also ordered cookie cutter favors to go with it.  it looked really cute and tasted even better!

YUM! at my sister’s in law bridal shower, they gave handmade soaps, that was nice and smelled delicious! i was a bridesmaid and in charge of favors and gave those plantable seed shapes: http://www.beau-coup.com/personalized-plantable-seed-favors.htm. They were a big hit.

I would like to add that I also recently recieved a shower favor that were cute but that I did not like.  The theme was Hawaii and so they found small candles in the shape of flip flops, then wraped it in a ribbon with tag with thier names on it.

I love candles, but these were so small and there was no base, so my mom that night put them on a coaster and burned them.  Within 15 minutes the candles burned down and almost caught the coaster on fire.  Cute idea, but I wasn’t in love with it.
